State Authorization
51ÁÔÆæis a Member of NC-SARA member which allows the college to offer limited activities in other NC-SARA member states. Currently 51ÁÔÆæ may not enroll students in online courses from non-NC-SARA member states unless the student is located within Texas.
National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (NC-SARA)
SARA is an agreement among member states, districts and territories that establish comparable national standards for interstate postsecondary distance education.

51ÁÔÆæ/Southwest College for the Deaf employees will not make statements indicating that any program or degree offered by the college will result in employment, promotion in existing employment, increases in salary, or other benefit. No employee will make statements that completion or attendance at HC/SWCD will result in admission to any other institution nor to any program at HC/SWCD. The college catalog contains requirements for admission and completion of all degrees and the costs associated with such degrees. No employee may make representation that any of these policies may be waived without written permission from the appropriate administrative official.

You are responsible for purchasing the required textbooks and supplies. The cost varies from semester to semester and from one program of study to another. Books and supplies are available from the as well as other outlets. A student of this institution is not obligated to buy or rent a textbook from a college-affiliated bookstore. The same textbook may also be available from an independent retailer, including an online retailer.
